So usually when a delivery gets placed and it includes items that are boxtruck and flatbed we can do split delivery in RV. A delivery dropped in at 3:30pm right before cutoff. It was for 25 bags of soils, 25 1 gallon ferns or some type of plant we sell, and some plant food. Usually I would put the ferns on boxtruck and the soil + plant food on a pallet wrapped for flatbed. The issue is split delivery wouldn’t let me switch the soil to flatbed for the next day using the emergency override (option was greyed out). The earliest it let me swap to was Wednesday. Is there even anyway to go around this? Those ferns can’t go on flatbed and most of our boxtruck people are cool but I know some Of them would complain about the 25 bags of topsoil. Is there even a situation where you can probably split a delivery when it drops right before cutoff? Our delivery company can only route deliveries so if we switching from one truck to another they will put it on the route but they can’t mess with the truck type at all

Just curious about other people’s fulfillment teams. Is everyone in your team in touch with everything when it comes to deliveries. I mean things like swapping deliveries from flatbed to boxtruck vice versa, putting genesis pickups in and then emailing the delivery company with the pickup number so they can route it as a delivery, and other things like this. I feel like my team lead and me (part timer) are the only ones that be doing stuff like this. Two people on our team mostly close so they don’t really need to deal with it but our full timer doesn’t really do this it all. I get cced in emails by him to the delivery company saying if they could route an order from boxtruck to flatbed but he hasn’t swapped it in redvest. There would be sometimes a delivery wouldn’t get sent out because a delivery couldn’t get routed because it was awaiting a swap on our end that never happened. Just curious how it is at everyone’s else’s stores
