Last 10 Days Advice

(From Someone Who Cleared FMGE in January with 191 Marks in first attempt. )
Hi everyone,
I cleared FMGE in the January session with 191 marks in my first attempt, and since there are only about 10 days left, I wanted to share a few things that helped me and that I genuinely believe are more important than anything else at this stage.

1. Focus on FMGE PYQs Above Everything Else
If I had to give only one piece of advice, it would be this:
Do as many FMGE Previous Year Questions (PYQs) as possible.
Don’t worry about covering new resources, new notes, or new question banks. At this point, PYQs will give you the highest return for your time and effort.

2. Do NOT Change Your Source
Whatever source you have been studying from until now is enough.
This is not the time to jump from one teacher to another, one app to another, or one set of notes to another. Trust the source that brought you this far and revise it well.

3. Don’t Chase Unfinished Small Subjects
Many students panic in the last few days because subjects like Anatomy, Orthopedics, Anesthesia, etc., are still incomplete.
My advice: Don’t run after completing everything.
For example, in Anatomy, a large portion of FMGE-relevant questions can be managed if you focus on:
Brachial plexus
Upper limb nerve injuries
Lower limb nerve injuries
Basic neuroanatomy
Go through these properly once, and you’ll be in a comfortable position for many anatomy questions. Don’t try to master the entire subject in the last few days.
The same applies to other smaller subjects. At this stage, revision is far more valuable than trying to finish untouched topics.

4. Skip NEET-PG Questions If Time Is Limited
If you can solve NEET-PG level questions comfortably, that’s fine.
But if you’re struggling with time, don’t force yourself to do NEET-PG questions now. Focus on FMGE-oriented questions and FMGE PYQs. The goal is to clear FMGE, not to prepare for another exam simultaneously.

5. The Most Important Advice: Stay Calm on Exam Day
This is probably the biggest factor.
When you sit in the examination hall, treat FMGE like a Grand Test (GT) that you’ve already given many times before.
Don’t rush.
Don’t panic.
Don’t overthink every question.
Trust your preparation.
Trust your instincts.
If your brain is consistently pointing toward one option and you have a reasonable basis for it, don’t keep changing answers out of fear.
Overthinking costs more marks than lack of knowledge.

6. Believe That You Can Clear It
The last 10 days are not just about studying; they’re also about building confidence.
Go into the exam with a calm and positive mindset. FMGE is absolutely a manageable exam. Thousands of students clear it every session.
And honestly, if I could clear it with 191 marks, then many of you can clear it too.
Keep revising, keep solving PYQs, trust yourself, and walk into the exam hall without fear.
Wishing all FMGE June candidates the very best. You’ve worked hard for this. Now trust your preparation and give the exam with a clear mind. 💙
You can do this. 🚀
