Hey guys! Today is my final day of the HPylori treatment. I finished the last dose this morning. Just met the gastroenterologist. She gave 4 meds (most of them are antacids) to carry on for another month. She didn’t give me probiotics (have no idea why). Then I have to stop taking meds for another month. After all of that, I have to retest (UBT). I hope things go well.
Hi everyone! I’m very new here in this group. Umm.. I had a constant bad breath which I’ve been dealing since years ago. But, I was too young to talk about this to my parents. I dealt with people acting weird around me. Sometimes I relieved myself that is just a phobia that makes me feel unsafe to talk to people in their faces.
Last year, I went out to study abroad in UK. Daily life back there was good but not awesome cause I knew something was wrong with my breath. I even refused to stay there using the post grad visa cause i was too scared to talk to people. So, I decided to come back to my motherland to cure this consistent health issue. I came back cause it’s cheaper here in Asia than back in the UK.
At first, I went to the ENT. He didn’t understand my situation and gave me some stool softeners. That didn’t help me at all. Then, I went to the gastroenterologist, and explained her everything I was facing. We did a H.Pylori test via the breath. Turns out, the test results 24.5 Positive, and gas filled up in my stomach. Exceeding the amount of normal adult should have which is around 3 and 4. My gastrologist said this should be it causing my bad breath.
First 7 days of the Quadruple treatment, I felt freedom speaking to people. Cause the bad breath was gone completely. However, I think it’s happening again yesterday. I don’t know if it’s just my body reacting to the meds or the years of trauma hasn’t been healed. Anyway, yet the amount of anxiety and traumatic experiences were so tough for me to cope.
