We are a family of 5 my father my mother both retired senior government officials in our state my brother and I are working in administrative positions in our state post clearing state pcs exam and are in our late 20s unmarried my sister is 22 and studying MBBS our combined family income is over rs 3.5 lakhs per month 4 earning members 2 government backed pensions and 2 government salaries and zero tax as all of us are under earning under rs 12.5 lakhs per annum we have zero debt one house in a tier 2 city G+2 fairly large house and around 17 acres of land plots in our city outskirts and nearby mostly ancestral property passed on to my father from his parents and good amount in FD and gold bought from my parents retirement commuted pay, EL and Gratuity. My parents are conservative and never invested in anything other than land or gold and some in FD or RD. With our income stable and increments and DA revisions and promotions as per norms our salary and their pensions will increase accordingly. So how can we invest our salary and use our land plots to generate wealth what can we do different or better to efficiently use our resources as we have never invested in mutual funds SIP or such and are afraid to do so what are genuine investment options please suggest us
