I got this this shreyas flugelhorn from walmart because i wanted to learn a new brass instrument( i primarily play lowbrass instrument). now i know trumpet and flugelhorn are the same in terms of how the fingerings work and stuff but i have a hard time reading treble clef so i thought ill js read bass clef and figure out the fingerings as i got but then i discovered that while reading bass clef the fingerings were the same and the notes sounded the exact same as if i was playing euphonium/tuba if it was being read belowthe staff. like if i saw a B on the second line in bass clef and i hit 123 like i would on euphonium, it would sound the same. im js trying to figure out if thats normal or is this 80 dollar flugelhorn was made wrong.
