Moving to the Inland Empire: Seeking Behavioral Health Leadership Connections, Job Leads & Community

Hi everyone! My husband and I are planning a move from Florida to the Inland Empire; most likely Rancho Cucamonga or another nearby foothill community. Planning within the next year, and I am starting to build genuine connections in the area now.
I’m a Florida Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, MBA, and Clinical Director with 15+ years of experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, co-occurring disorders, program operations, clinical leadership, team development, business development, and supervision.
I am especially interested in leadership, operations, program development, higher education/student support, women’s services, nonprofits, and organizations doing meaningful work in mental health or community care. I am aware California licensure has its own process, so I am also open to roles that value clinical leadership, program management, training, operations, business development, or remote/hybrid work while I continue navigating California licensure requirements.
I would truly appreciate recommendations for behavioral health organizations, hospitals, colleges, nonprofits, recruiters, professional groups, or local professionals who may be worth connecting with. I am also open to Pasadena-area opportunities if they are a strong fit.
And on a more personal note, I would love to connect with multicultural spaces in the Inland Empire—especially Black, Latino, Caribbean, or Afro-Caribbean communities, restaurants, professional groups, or events. My husband is Salvadoran, I am Trinidadian, and culture, food, diversity, and community matter a lot to us as we think about where to build our next chapter.
Thank you for welcoming a future Inland Empire resident. I am excited to learn, network, and hopefully build a meaningful career and community out there.

South Florida to The IE!

California dreaming and looking to live in a new environment. Currently a licensed marriage family Therapist is looking to move to California specifically Rancho Cucamonga area in IE. I’m in my early 40s. I really don’t feel LA is my thing a clever I like mountains, hiking, traveling to new places, and I figured living essentially in the inland empire would allow me to have access to Las Vegas LA and everything’s surrounding. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Best places to move to in the area. I know that I need to stay above the 210 per YouTube lol. What is it that you love about living in the inland empire what are some things that you really can’t stand? Also, I won’t be able to be licensed in California until October 2027 so between now and then I’ll need to maintain my Florida license and we either remotely in Florida or find something out there. Any suggestions are also appreciated.
