Does peat also count when it comes to "funk"?

I found this wine (linked) to be really interesting. Pretty carbonic red fruit, herbs,, minerality, violets. Anyone else try it and perceive a whisky-like peat? I have had funky wines ("barnyard," perhaps overfermented red fruit, etc.,), but not ones that reminded me of scotch with a lot of clarity. I have not yet come across this yet. Perhaps something I'll come across more if I have more natural wines?

Game changing gear for more intimate shots?

I'll share first (photo). The wife's boyfriend was just gushing about it today. We got to a new place with our shots. It even measures output, so it's got double the utility.

Any of you achieve longer lasting and more powerful shots with other fun toys?
