Please help
Hi everyone. I literally can’t deal with this anymore. I have a VW Golf 5 automatic (bought 6 months ago) and the check engine light keeps coming on constantly.
We changed the clutch and checked the DPF and EGR. We also changed the engine cooling fan and the heating fan.
I noticed the light often comes on when the car stays in higher RPMs than it should. It takes time for the RPMs to go down automatically, and sometimes it shifts at higher RPMs than normal, at least from what I can hear/feel. It’s the last version of the Golf 5, so it has a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
Sorry if my English isn’t perfect — I’m not a native speaker and I don’t know the correct car terms. Please help a girl out because I’m honestly exhausted and completely lost with this car.
