Time:
1:30–3:30 PM Los Angeles
3:30–5:30 PM Chicago
4:30–6:30 PM New York City / Toronto

For those who don't know me, I've been teaching improv for over 16 years, including at The Second City and The Annoyance Theatre. Over the past year, I've been developing these online classes as an opportunity to dive deeper into scenic improvisation in a small-group setting.

What makes this bootcamp different is that it isn't built around a rigid, one-size-fits-all curriculum.

Before the first class, I touch base with every student to discuss their goals. What bad habits are you trying to break? Which exercises do you love? Which ones make you never want to set foot in an improv class again?

I use those conversations to customize the bootcamp around the specific needs and interests of the group. That means spending more time developing the skills students actually want to focus on, adapting favorite exercises for the online format, and avoiding ones that people dread.

The goal isn't for me to teach the same workshop I've taught time and time again. It's to build a curriculum that's shaped by the specific students in the class.

Tuition: $150 for the full four-week session.
(Sliding scale available. Don't hesitate to inquire.)

This includes two optional 15-minute 1:1 Zoom sessions:

• One before the first class to discuss your goals
• One after the final class for comprehensive feedback

Class size will be limited to allow for plenty of scene work and individualized feedback.

Free Online Improv Workshops for Autistic, ADHD & AuDHD Adults First Week of May — Several Options Available (All levels welcome, including beginners)

Hi, my name is Tim Paul, and I'm currently in school researching the psychology of improvisation. I've taught at The Second City since 2010 through its Chicago, Hollywood, and Virtual Training Centers. I've also taught at The Annoyance Theatre, as well as led workshops across North America and Europe.

I'm passionate about improv education, which is why I'm offering these free online workshops exploring best practices for teaching improv to autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD adults. I'm AuDHD myself, and I genuinely believe improv can be a powerful outlet. All I ask in return is that you complete a brief survey about your experience at the end of the workshop.

This workshop is open to any adult with either a formal diagnosis or self-diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD. You are not required to disclose your neurotype publicly during the workshop. There will be an anonymous question on the post-workshop survey where you may choose to share that information if you'd like.
