It is trying to kill itself???

I just installed a Barrina light after having a mix of natural light and Sylvana bulbs for forever. Obviously this light is far stronger, which I expected, but is this dude just lost in the sauce or is it going to light fatigue itself due to an issue? I don’t have any experience with any plant like this, and unfortunately I don’t have any information on the variety itself.

I was gifted some bulbs from my grandad off an ancient, giant Elephant Ear plant he’s kept going through all phases for years now. No clue on the type since my grandad has no clue what these are, but they get huge. Attached are photos of his main plants in their prime, with the artist himself! He’s so proud of them lol as he should be, but I’m committed to raising my own at least partially as beautiful as his. Any thoughts on whatever crisis this dudes going for, I’ll take em. (P.S. I know my clear semi hydro containers are a no-no but I’ve got new ones coming next week. I was young and dumb but I’ve learned from my mistakes and I’m doing better now)
