When I play pmd games I like having my player and partner names be just their species names, since it doesn't make sense to me that they'd have unique names when no other pokemon do in the whole game (other than recruits). I'm playing as Eevee, so if I just call myself "Eevee" will I get the option to change it if I evolve in the postgame? I haven't played the originals before, only some of the newer ones where the name is automatically filled in with the pokemon's species name when the text box opens, so I'm not sure. I found some people online saying that you can change it when you evolve and some people saying that you can't change it at all. It would be weird to be a Flareon called "Eevee".
