Those of you who got into KaraGarga recently, how did you do it?
Hey all!
I'm an arthouse guy who spends a lot of time at on the festival circuit watching films, often catching films that never get a formal release. I'm able to see a lot of what I want to--but there are still some spaces I just can't quite bridge.
When I heard of KaraGarga (KG), it seemed to me a holy grail for my tastes--but I also read that it doesn't recruit anywhere and that the only way to get in is by invite.
I'm more than willing to put in the time and effort to prove myself a valuable contributor--but I'm just not sure how. So, my question:
For those of you who recently got into KG, I'm curious what your journey looked like. For instance, were you uploading rare/obscure films to another tracker when you crossed paths with somebody who had an invite? Or were you making connections with others in the arthouse community and found someone who invited you? Or was it something else entirely?
I'd love to hear any insights on how best to direct my efforts. Many thanks in advance for any guidance you provide. :)
