Having to explain my zipped catsuit to airport security was a core memory

I flew out for an alternative festival last weekend and decided to pack my favorite catsuit in my carry-on bag to make sure it didn't get lost by the airline. I had it properly washed, powdered with talc, and sealed inside a clear vacuum bag.

Of course, my bag got flagged at the TSA security checkpoint. The agent pulled out the clear bag, held up this ghostly, powdered, deflated rubber human shape, and just stared at me. He asked, "Ma'am, what exactly am I looking at here?"

I had to explain to a completely baffled security officer in front of a line of fifty people that it was a fashion garment made of natural rubber. He squeezed the bag, looked even more confused, and called his supervisor over. The supervisor just laughed and said, "It's fine, put it back."

Definitely a lesson learned.🤣
