How do you handle the loud "squeak factor" when walking around? 🤫

Hey everyone, let's talk about something nobody warns you about when you first get into latex: the literal noise.

I wore my catsuit out recently, and every time my inner thighs or armpits rubbed together, it sounded like an aggressive balloon animal being tortured. It turns heads faster than the actual reflection of the shine! Walking into a quiet hallway or a bathroom felt like announcing my presence to the entire building.

For those who wear latex in public or at events, how do you silence the squeak?

Beginner friendly latex shops

Hello! I'm wanting to get into latex and was wondering if anyone has any tips on where to purchase good quality products? I'd like to start out with gloves, leggings, and thigh highs.

I had to explain my catsuit to my mom

Back when I was living with my mom, who is a very clean and religious woman. She found one of my catsuits and I had to explain to her that it was a layer for a wetsuit. At that time I was heavy into surfing and fishing and it helped the case that I had like 3 or 4 wetsuits in my closet too, so I made it seem like it was another waterproofing layer to a wetsuit. Also it helped that I had a wetsuit with similar colours (black and neon green) to say it was a set. I started hanging it my closet next to my wetsuits to hide suspicion from her until my cousin came over and I had my closet wide open and I’m pretty sure he saw it and chose to say nothing about it

Cleaning advice?

I recently bought my first pieces of latex: A pair of underwear and a tank top. I cleaned them, did a vivishine dip, and hung them to dry. After a few hours, they were really really slick and greasy from the vivishine still. Is that normal or did I use too much???

The directions for vivishine say to add 1-2 tablespoons, but doesnt say how much water. I used 2 tablespoons for like 2-3 gallons of water, and I have a feeling that was too much.

What is your absolute biggest latex nightmare or fear?

We invest a lot of time, money, and effort into our collections, which means there are certain scenarios that can completely ruin a night out or our wallets. From the terrifying sound of a sudden rip to a catastrophic chemical stain.

What is the one nightmare you dread the most when wearing or handling your gear?

  • tearing a seam
  • overheating
  • zipper jam or malfunction while fully encased
  • permanent staining
  • running out of dressing aid halfway through getting dressed

How do you survive wearing latex in the summer heat? ☀️

The summer is finally here and I’m looking for some temperature-control advice.

I’m planning to wear a semi-heavy look to an outdoor music festival next month, but the forecast is looking pretty warm. I know latex traps 100% of body heat and doesn't breathe at all, and the thought of overheating or getting lightheaded in a crowd is a bit terrifying.

how do you manage the heat?

I’d love to hear your summer survival guide before I melt out there. Thanks!

Latex for summer

I am looking to get some new latex stuff for this summer. I have ordered stuff before from Kinkprojects, and i have order in now too. But their turn around time is too slow for getting some for this summer. What EU-based or international stores you would recomend? I am just looking for basic catsuit that would be idealy ready to ship, or made in couple of weeks.

How do you stop latex leggings from rolling down at the waist?

Hey everyone, I need some advice.

I recently bought my first pair of high-waisted latex leggings. They fit perfectly on my legs and hips, but whenever I sit down or move around too much, the waistband immediately starts rolling down or sliding down my lower back.

It is incredibly annoying having to constantly pull them up when I'm out.

For those who wear leggings casually or out to clubs, how do you fix this issue? Any tips would be highly appreciated!

Having to explain my zipped catsuit to airport security was a core memory

I flew out for an alternative festival last weekend and decided to pack my favorite catsuit in my carry-on bag to make sure it didn't get lost by the airline. I had it properly washed, powdered with talc, and sealed inside a clear vacuum bag.

Of course, my bag got flagged at the TSA security checkpoint. The agent pulled out the clear bag, held up this ghostly, powdered, deflated rubber human shape, and just stared at me. He asked, "Ma'am, what exactly am I looking at here?"

I had to explain to a completely baffled security officer in front of a line of fifty people that it was a fashion garment made of natural rubber. He squeezed the bag, looked even more confused, and called his supervisor over. The supervisor just laughed and said, "It's fine, put it back."

Definitely a lesson learned.🤣

Wore my latex skirt to a regular indie concert last night, here is how it went

I finally built up the courage to wear a piece of my collection to a completely vanilla, mainstream event last night. I went to a local indie rock concert and wore a high-waisted black latex pencil skirt paired with an oversized vintage band tee and a denim jacket.

Honestly, I was terrified I would look completely out of place or get weird stares, but the reaction was amazing. I got three compliments from total strangers in the bathroom asking where I bought the skirt. Mixing it with heavy cotton and denim completely dressed it down and made it look like high fashion rather than clubwear.

The only downside? The venue venue got incredibly packed and hot, so I was definitely sweating underneath by the end of the night. But overall, it was a huge confidence boost for casual styling.

Sweat vs. Latex: Wash your gear immediately after a night out

Just a quick public service announcement for anyone new to wearing latex for long periods.

Please do not leave your garments sitting in a plastic bag or hamper after a long night out at a club or event. Human sweat contains natural oils, salts, and bacteria. If you leave a sweaty catsuit or top unwashed for even 48 hours, the bacteria will start to break down the material and the glued seams. This is how you get "latex rot," which ruins the elasticity and creates a foul smell that is almost impossible to get out.

As soon as you get home, drop your pieces into a tub of lukewarm water with some mild dish soap. Wash it, rinse it, let it dry, and protect your investment. Your wallet will thank you!

How to catch and fix micro-tears before your garment rips completely

If you wear your latex pieces frequently, you need to start inspecting the high-stress areas regularly. I am talking about armpits, the crotch area, and around zippers or fasteners.

Before you wash your item, hold it up to a bright light and gently stretch the seams. Look for micro-tears or tiny pinholes. If you catch a tiny nick early, it is incredibly easy to fix. You just clean the area with solvent, apply a tiny drop of rubber cement or latex glue on the inside, and place a small circular patch of scrap latex over it.

If you ignore a micro-tear, the next time you sit down or pull the garment on, that tiny 1mm nick will instantly turn into a devastating 10cm rip that ruins the entire panel. Take five minutes to inspect your gear!
