MY PARENTS ARE BEING INSANE
Im just gonna start of by saying im Indian. And 17. I’ve never had a bf and ive never wanted one bc my parents were always like “youll get distracted…. focus on ur future….” all that usual indian stuff.
And my parents trust me because ive never lied, snuck out, drank, et. So they still let me do stuff if that makes sense. But things started getting different when I had a prom date. They were chill with that bc I told them everyone has one and I assured them it was platonic.
But then I got invited to his party. It started at 9. My mom was IMMEADEATLY like hell nah but I BEGGEDDD my dad and said just this once. So he halfheartedly let me go….. until 10. He said he was gonna pick me up bc I wasnt gonna come back on time (he was right….. I was planning to come backing later and blame it on traffic). But basically I was like 8 mins late bc I kept avoiding his call. He literally came up to the house to get me. Everyone was shocked.
And now he is mad as hell for some reason. I don’t know what to do. I want to keep seeing that guy. How do I break this cycle because he GENUINELY wont let me go anywhere? Do I need to start acting out????? and to make it worse my mom is telling my dad “I told u so“ UGHHH I HATE THIS!!!!
