Hi, I’m wondering if anyone has heard back from their support email, or if it runs slow?
I emailed them over a week ago about our reservations and a permit pickup question, but haven’t heard anything back. I realize they probably get bombarded and likely have a really small staff, I just didn’t want to be annoying and try emailing again thinking mine got buried and add to the load if they’ll eventually respond.
I go next week, so I’m just trying to get clarity on a few things before!
My friends and I booked through early access. We had one friend book and not realize she booked for just one person (she thought it was for a whole campsite/group), so we jumped on and each got spots too… so I guess we are each a party of one? We don’t have a “group” or a leader I don’t think, and don’t see that language anywhere on the reservations. But we do have each other listed as alternates that can pick up permits for the others. But for that I’m not really sure how that works as I see a lot of posts about people saying “leaders” have to check in? Has anyone else been able to pick up others people’s permits if they were listed?
And I’m also curious how it all works post check in, and if we have to show id’s again, or just the wrist bands? I know there are check points but not sure what it all entails. We’ll be spending the night before at GCC and then drive out to the trail pretty early (leaving at 3-4am). Also what is the parking lot like, is it right at the trailhead? And is it safe to leave stuff in the car?
