Trying to perfect a cream top

Okay I need HELP from people who actually understand drink ratios/foam consistency because I’m losing my mind trying to recreate the Sorbo cloudy matcha at home 😭

The drink is basically coconut water + a matcha cream top, and when I had it today it was genuinely one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. The texture was PERFECT. Light, creamy, slightly sweet, fluffy, not too heavy, and the matcha flavor balanced so well with the coconut water.

But every single time I try to remake it at home, something goes wrong:
- too much heavy whipping cream
- too much matcha
- not sweet enough
- too bitter
- too liquidy
- cream top sinks too fast
- consistency feels thin instead of fluffy/cloud-like

I’ve also tried doing an espresso cream top over coconut water and somehow it still comes out watery and separated instead of smooth and layered like theirs.

For reference:
- I’m using heavy whipping cream
- ceremonial grade matcha
- coconut water
- sometimes vanilla syrup/brown sugar
- hand frother/electric frother/blender/bamboo whisk

I feel like I cannot figure out the proper ratios at ALL. Either the cream is overpowering or the matcha gets weirdly grassy and strong. And when I add sweetener, it either disappears flavor-wise or becomes too sweet without fixing the texture.

Can someone PLEASE break this down for me super specifically? Like:
- exact measurements you would use
- what kind of coconut water works best
- whether I should dilute the cream with milk/oat milk
- how much matcha is TOO much for a cream top
- what sweetener works best
- how to get that thick but silky “cloud” consistency without it turning into cold foam soup
- whether Sorbo is possibly using stabilizers/xanthan gum/etc.
- if the cream top should be whipped separately first before adding matcha

I’m begging for barista-level detail because I know I’m missing something small that’s ruining the whole drink 😭

Planning our first 2-week UK trip (London, Bath, York, Edinburgh) — need honest advice before booking

My boyfriend and I are planning to fly to the UK in late September/early October 2026 for about 2 weeks.

Current plan is:

- London

- Bath (+ maybe Castle Combe day trip)

- York

- Edinburgh

(But we are open to recommendations on whether or not we should go to other places rather than the ones we pick, which are over/underrated, etc)

We do NOT want to rent a car, so we’re trying to make this as train/public transportation friendly as possible.

We’re mainly interested in:

- castles/history/museums

- old towns/architecture

- football/soccer culture

- bookstores/cafés/pubs

- scenic train rides

- walkable cities

Right now we’re looking at flying nonstop from Tampa to London and then Edinburgh to Tampa. Or even just doing a round trip from TPA to London or whatever is the most affordable. I just dont know what is a good $$ amount for flights because currently im seeing prices within $800-$1k per person and idk if that’s a good $$ amount for 1 person for 2 weeks and that price isn’t including bags/upgrades.

Questions:

  • Which airline is the best for economy/premium economy ?
  • Are these cities a good route for 2 weeks without feeling rushed?
  • Are we spending too much or too little time in any of these places?
  • Is Bath worth 3 nights?
  • Is York worth staying overnight for?
  • Best football stadium tours/matches in London during this time?
  • Any hidden costs or things first-time UK travelers don’t think about?
  • Best train tips/apps/websites for booking?
  • Best areas to stay in London/Bath/York/Edinburgh?

Trying to plan smart before booking anything, so any advice/recommendations are appreciated!

2 weeks in the UK in October

Hi everyone ! What is a good UK 2 week trip itnerary/route for October 2026?

Whats the most affordable place other than London to fly into ?

I heard that these cities are the best? But what am I overlooking? What are the most overrated and underrated ?

  • York
  • London
  • Edinburgh
  • The Cotswolds
  • Lyme Regis

I know these are some cool things that would be interesting to do in the UK:

- castles

- historic towns

- museums

- old architecture

- cozy/autumn atmosphere

- bookstores, cafés, pubs

- learning about history/culture

- scenic train rides

A few questions:

- any restaurant/bar recommendations in different cities?

- Are these cities a good route for 2 weeks?

- Any underrated towns/villages to add or swap out?

- Best castle recommendations?

- Is the Cotswolds worth 3–4 nights?

- Is York worth staying overnight for?

- is Glasgow a city to consider too or stick with Edinburgh?

- Best places for medieval/history vibes?

- Any scenic train routes that you shouldn’t miss?

- Would you recommend flying into somewhere besides London?

Open to literally any recommendations... hidden gems, historic sites, spooky October things, food spots, cozy towns, etc. Thank you!!
