I need a pap smear. I've been avoiding it because I can't stand how clinical the environment is. Last time I went the room was freezing cold and the experience was extremely painful and traumatizing. I haven't been back in three years. I've heard some doctors provide services like aromatherapy and dimming lights but I don't know who. Any recommendations? Asking for smaller speculums and warming them isn't enough to get me back to the doctor. I need someone who treats me kindly with no judgement so I can advocate for myself.
