Crush on a Manipuri guy??
Hello! I’m not from the Northeast, and I have a bit of a crush on a guy at my gym. I’d really like to approach him, but I’m honestly too scared
I once asked my PT about him, and she mentioned that he isn’t Meitei but is from Manipur. I don’t know his name, though. He usually works out alone, doesn’t wear earphones, and, well… I may or may not know his workout timings and days a little too well.
The thing is, I have no idea whether he’d actually be comfortable with me approaching him. I’ve heard that people from the Northeast can sometimes have different preferences when it comes to dating outside their region, and I’ve also heard that some Northeastern guys prefer dating within their own communities.
So, I wanted to ask: Would it be inappropriate or unwelcome for me to approach him, given that I’m from North India? Or am I overthinking this way too much?
I obviously don’t want to make him uncomfortable or assume anything about him based on where he’s from. I just genuinely don’t know whether I should shoot my shot or leave him alone.
