What are my options?
Back ground information:
• 2 kids
• Child support order states he is to get them 3 specific days every week - the last time he physically seen them was a Christmas party his mom took them too . The last time he physically used his parenting time was May 11th, 2025
• he is to pay me $100 every week.
My issues
Obviously he has not been present in their life what so ever…. It’s nothing new.
•As of January 2026 I’ve only received 5 payments .. as off a month ago he was almost $900 behind in child support.
• He told me he wasn’t able to make payments due to “being jobless”, which is weird because since he’s that he’s taken his newest girlfriend on extremely expensive dates he’s been able to post on social media with pictures (so I have proof for my evidence files) including : winery’s ($10 a glass) , multiple different restaurants, shopping trips, and the latest is a $350 tour of our city.
• If I take him back to court I’m risking he is working under the table so they will lower his child support because how do I prove he’s working(if he isn’t gonna pay I’d rather it stack up) or I waste my time because he’s known to not show up to our court hearings..
At the end of the day kids cost a lot of money in this economy, especially with summer break approaching. I’m just growing irritated that he can’t help support his kids but is able to do this… like if you want nothing to do with them sign your Rights over!!
