When will it all end ?

I apologize if this post is better suited for the general vent thread. However, I did want to invite discussion about the future of the game and its fandom, so I wrote this as a main post.
We are coming up on the fourth month of this mess. I had genuinely thought that the () cult would start to disband after the multi dropped, but they only seem to get worse and worse.
Lnds always had a toxic fanbase (especially if you happened to be a Raf or Caleb main), but it never felt this bad. I guess I’m just exhausted. I’m tired of constantly hearing negative press about my comfort game. I’m tired of seeing fully grown women throwing a tantrum over 8 minutes of content. And most of all, I’m afraid things will always be this way.
Fears aside, my personal theory is by the end of this year. The () “movement” is already beginning to fracture, and Infold has remained unbothered. Even if we attribute the revenue drop to their barking (which is extremely unlikely), the fact that it has been 3 months means that Infold is willing to take the revenue hit if it means preserving the core fanbase. June of next year might reignite some of the () fans (I’m expecting 1 year anniversary posts), but after that the fandom will go back to being normal.
As for the revenue, it’s too early to tell if Infold will ever make a full recovery. Still, I can’t imagine they’re too concerned, since rock bottom for this game is 10 MILLION DOLLARS/month.
To end on a positive note: I absolutely adore this subreddit and the amazing community that is here! Thank you, for the reminder that sane people do in fact exist play this game, and thank you mods, for doing such an amazing job curating this subreddit ❤️
