The teleprompter and the camera center don’t seem to match.
I mounted the camera to the teleprompter using a lens ring adapter, and the lens itself is physically aligned with the exact center of the teleprompter. However, when I look directly at the center of the teleprompter — meaning directly at the lens area — the recorded footage looks like I’m looking slightly to the left instead of making eye contact with the viewer.
I tested different eye positions to see where I actually need to look in order to appear as if I’m looking straight into the camera. Surprisingly, I have to look almost at the bottom-right corner of the teleprompter screen for the footage to look like proper eye contact.
There was no problem at all when I filmed yesterday. After filming, I left the camera and teleprompter mounted together on the tripod exactly as they were. However, when I tried filming again the next day, this issue suddenly appeared.
Could you explain why this might be happening?
