I'm back with another free Stream Deck plugin: safely remove USB drives from one key

Hi again! Some of you might remember my Elemental Temps and Elemental Infobar plugins. I'm back with a new one, this time for something I do every day: safely removing USB drives without digging through the Windows tray. Like the others, it's free and open source (MIT).

Elemental USB – safely remove USB devices from one key

the key shows what's plugged in: pendrives, external HDDs/SSDs, SD card readers, security keys like a YubiKey
short press switches to the next device, hold the key to safely remove it (a bar fills along the bottom while you hold)
green Safe to remove when you can unplug it
red In use when the drive is still busy, so you know it's not safe yet and nothing gets ejected halfway
each key shows an icon for the device type, the drive letter, the name and the capacity
English and Polish

It only lists what Windows itself shows under Safely Remove Hardware, so your mouse, keyboard, mic, webcam or the Stream Deck itself never show up and can't be ejected by accident.

Things you should know

Windows 10/11 only, needs Stream Deck software 7.1+. No admin rights needed, nothing is sent over the network.
I only own a Neo, so I tested it there. It's a standard key action, so it should work on other models too. If you try it, please tell me how it goes.

Stream Deck retired

I had my Stream Deck mini for several years and it was a killer productivity tool for video conference call control, that I gushed about to everyone that would listen, since I spend my entire day on video calls, like everyone else. With the destruction of the MS Teams API, my Stream Deck is now a useless brick for my use case. Non-app focused control of calls allowed me to multitask and still stay present and engaged, like a streamer. I tried to hang in there for the last 7 months since the API stopped working for me, trying MuteDeck and shortcuts that would try to bring a Teams call to the forefront so that the keyboard shortcut macros would work. But it's all a mess. So, RIP, I'm putting the Stream Deck in my drawer. Call me if MS turns the API back on.

Dissapearing device, plus failure to apply effects

Some days I boot up my machine, and everything is fine:

If I've turned on my rodecaster, the channel is there and working

If I've not, it's there and marked as unavailable until I turn it on

and all is well.

Other (Most) days I find I have to do this when I turn on my PC:

Click create channel
Select "Microphone (RODECaster Duo Chat)"
Click the channel effects button
Click add effect
Select Elgato voice focus
Close Elgato voice focus
Click to add the channel to Game Chat Mix
Click to add the channel to Discord Chat mix

--- SOMETIMES it's even worse. ---

Realise that voice focus isn't working* and close and reopen wave (and you may or may not have to repeat steps 1-8 again if it's decided to delete the channel again)

*removing and re-adding, or enabling end disabling voice focus is not enough, only restarting the wave app is enough to get it working

This has been an issue across fresh windows installs (upgraded PC), and the channel disabling also occurs in stable (I'm currently running the beta (3.4.0 (4530)) hoping for something to be fixed).

Specs of the current machine (this also occured on a previous machine, and this is a fresh install of the OS and app (full system wipe):

Windows 11 Pro (10.0.26200)
Core Ultra 5 250K plus installed on an ASUS ProArt Z890 Creator Wifi board
64GB RAM
Rodecaster Pro 2 directly connected to computer
