Should I take the WAIS in my situation?

TLDR: Felt stupid my entire life because I failed in a lot of things. Looking to see if I'm actually cognitively impaired or if there are some other underlying issues that I need to work on. Don't want to spend $$$ if it's not worth it.

I've always felt stupid throughout my life. From K-9, I had to take special ed because of my speech impairment. It took 10 years to get my bachelors degree in IT(probably 6 because I joined the military after doing gen ed). I failed out of AF OTS even though 95% of people graduate because I couldn't pass the leadership evaluations . I failed out of the ATC Academy because I fked up on one of the evaluations. Now, I'm working at a minimum wage job in my 30's and contemplating what the hell I'm going to do with my life.

I'm thinking of taking my prerequisites to go to med school, but I don't want to become a doctor if my IQ is low and I might mess something up that might endanger the lives of patients.

I'm thinking of taking an IQ test to see if I'm actually cognitively impaired or there's something else that's mentally wrong with me. I'm at least hoping it would be above 100. 101-110 would make me happy.

The clinics that I've looked up are extremely expensive. They don't accept my insurance, so I would have to pay out of pocket. My question is should I take an IQ test in my situation? Would it benefit me to know it?

Thanks for reading.
