My H1b extension is approved recently, but my wifes H4 extension is still pending with USCIS. We are Indian nationals. My wife has Canada COPR, and she needs to travel to Canada within next 60 days to activate PR. She is planning to do soft landing to activate PR and immediately go for H4 visa appointment in Canada. Do you know if this is a safe option nowadays? It takes some months to get PR card after landing, so do they accept COPR as proof of residence? How much gap should we have between our initial landing in Canada and the visa interview?
