Merging UAN - Necessary if previous UAN has no money?
Finally after 5 years I was able to resolve stupid EPS issue for my previous member and able to transfer all money from all members to my current member ID.
I thought I would just cry with all happiness as it was a big amount which was stuck. But NOO, EPFO was one level ahead of me :/
Since I took a break last year, I thought let me try to see the process of PF withdrawal in case I want to withdraw everything because finally all money has been transferred to latest Member ID.
Now my online claim option says, its unavailable because I have some old UAN which is linked to same bank account, correct the bank KYC in that UAN and then only you can start any online claim.
Now the issue is, I already withdrew amount my old UAN account looong back in 2015. I don't even think that company would even reply to my PF queries in 2026. I have seen some posts saying if you do not have any money in old UAN then transfer would fail.
What to do now? Should I just change my bank account in current UAN so it does not say another UAN is linked? or take additional headache of changing everything in old UAN which has No money and might take another year :/
