Follicular Lymphoma diagnosis

’m a 59 year old female and after what seems to have been a long process, I saw my consultant for the first time today and have a confirmed diagnosis of grade 1/2 stage 3 follicular lymphoma and I’m on watch and wait. I was admitted to a&e two months ago with severe left abdominal pain and vomiting. I still can’t thank the staff enough because if the doctor hadn’t decided to keep me in and scan me I’d be none the wiser, as thought it was just a severe diverticulitis flare up.

I feel fit and well otherwise and have made my peace with knowing this is a forever thing and just trying to get on with living my life.

I mentioned the node in my neck was up (wasn’t before) and she said just to keep an eye on it.

Anyway, have been lurking here in the past few weeks and reading others experiences has been really helpful.

Workload

I’m in a new role with what is proving to be a very disorganised and demanding client. campaigns that come through have to be set up on the day. it can be late afternoon on a FrIday when 7 are sent through. it’s getting to the point where I’m endlessly cancelling social plans with friends. is this normal as I’ve never encountered this at my previous bigger agencies?

Extended probation

so I’m in a smaller agency and just had my 3 month probation review.
My probation has been extended for 3 more months: My work has been amazing but because we’re in a quiet period at the moment they want to get me trained up on more platforms as the account is going through an expanded change. Apparently nothing to do with my work - I’ve been, and I quote amazing, the last 4 weeks in particular, exceptional including my commentaries. I’m getting some goals set and having a 121 call every two weeks.

I’m confused and upset as I’m also looking to move out into a flatshare and now worried about each next step
