''Tape''

amazombies or prepaid drop offs asking for us to tape there box immediately , or even worse when they grab our tape gun and start using an exorbitant amount of tape for their stupid box.

'' could you tape that up for me please'' Like bro thinks we are stupid to hand untaped boxes to the drivers.

Worse one is when the customer brings a very fudged up box that needs a TON of tape and still ask us to tape that piece a crap.

Even worse when a customer comes to the counter and starts grabbing our tape gun without our permission and tape their box like its life depends on it.

Anyways, Wish our store starts charging tape.

Just common sense that the box will be taped. gosh.

If they were so worried or concerned, you would of have that taped up already, or go to dollar store and get yourself tape.

Thanks for reading my rant.

notary pay

Hey fellow ups stores,

how does your pay work for notaries?

I only get a dollar extra on top of pay but we get SOOO many notaries at our location owner charges $15 dollars per signature

which in state of Nevada its $15 for the first signature and $7.50 additional , but owner does $15 first and $15 additional.

Anyways not sure about legalities of charging there, my point is $1 extra is not fair for what we deal with and so many walk in notaries.

We don't make commissions nor bonuses.

Phone calls Part2

Hey guys, what do you guys suggest when the public calls our store to track packages or questions we cant help or unrelated to the store.

I've spoken with the owner about the Phone system that filters calls, but he's too cheap to replace our current phones or get the system.

I hate wasting my time tracking packages while i have a dam line at the store. Owner wants us to answer every call..

Schedule

Is it normal for the owner to schedule you to open the store.

And your alone from 7:30am - 10:30 am and it's just you as an associate dealing with a big ass line. Morning Rush.

I hate doing fingerprints in the morning when your alone because I have to give my full attention to it and whole line just watching and starring at you like the sardines from spongebob.

Or when someone decides to ship international which takes so much time and notaries . Ive texted the owner for help but he never comes and just says the other employee will be there, (which is at 10:30am)

God dam gotta find another job.

I Feel stuck .

thanks for reading and any life advice would be good too.

Owners

I know all The UPS stores are all franchises, but curious how are your leaders/management?

The owner of our store is in his mid 20s got the business from his family that already owned other ups stores and 711s, but anyways he just got this store under his name for past 2 yrs.

Since than he took over a new crew that needs discipline because they are all in their 20s and don't understand how to work in a job and customer service.

The owner is never here at the store and is always out with his girlfriend doing other things. I Believe he needs to be in the store more, especially because he just got it, to build up a better reputation with the public/customer service, building a working system with the team, having a culture of discipline, incentives, etc.

And that's why the store is losing money, we have irritated customers/mailbox holders. And whenever we make a mistake, owner takes money from our check.

Also, not to mention he writes out the paycheck , and clock in and outs don't matter because he doesn't pay the extra 15min we stay for last minute closing and bs.
