Here’s another break room morale booster
Old one got taken down in place of an advertisement for 10% off at the local Buffalo Wild Wings. Any ideas for a third once this one gets tossed?

Hey, I know we all got the new update to irregular packing and making sure you do it etc etc.
my manager is having us mark every bubble/poly mailer as irregular, including ones that are under the 18x14x6 (i think that’s the right ones) dimensions that are on the sheet.
Is that correct? Because people are trying to ship little things and what is typically $14-$16 are coming up as $45-$75 now.
I am just so confused because the sheet says it’s only irregular if it exceeds one or more of those dimensions, but they want us to do it for ANY mailer. Is that normal?? I feel like I’m stealing from these people
amazombies or prepaid drop offs asking for us to tape there box immediately , or even worse when they grab our tape gun and start using an exorbitant amount of tape for their stupid box.
'' could you tape that up for me please'' Like bro thinks we are stupid to hand untaped boxes to the drivers.
Worse one is when the customer brings a very fudged up box that needs a TON of tape and still ask us to tape that piece a crap.
Even worse when a customer comes to the counter and starts grabbing our tape gun without our permission and tape their box like its life depends on it.
Anyways, Wish our store starts charging tape.
Just common sense that the box will be taped. gosh.
If they were so worried or concerned, you would of have that taped up already, or go to dollar store and get yourself tape.
Thanks for reading my rant.
Really??!! Please let me disengage from the Amazombies, lol. And a coupon for 15% off “all products & services”. I know every store is different but at our store Amazon customers are NOT our customers. They just waste our time and cost us $$ in multiple ways, no question. They literally do not spend a cent here and bitterly complain about paying to print a label. I understand this is a push to encourage them to be our customer but 15% off will not loop them in. This is a dead end imo.
Thoughts on this…
What type of external storage do you have and what size? Big enough? Or too big? Also please mention small or large store. We are considered rural as far as traffic goes.
Anyone else dead today wish we were closed!
Does anyone else hear this constantly? I’ll tell them their QR code says Whole Foods and they insist they chose the ups store. I don’t use Amazon at all so I haven’t experienced this, but there’s no way that’s possible right?
Have any centers started using the Tier pricing for MPS yet? I’m doing the WBT right now and it just seems like The UPS Store is trying to gouge every last cent out of the customers that we have already built a great relationship with. I know customers that receive packages on the daily are going to be the first ones to leave, which are usually the customers that came to us for our package receiving capabilities in the first place (eg- customers that use us to combat porch pirates) It just feels like we are becoming the pirates.
I have a job interview that required me to print my resume instead of emailing it to them. I don’t have a printer and the nearest library is a 20 minute drive and I don’t have a car. The interview is located at a shopping center with an ups store next door. I went to go print and they told me that it would be $5 to print plus the additional 29¢ per page. Online they said that you only print per page and that’s it. I wasn’t prepared for this.
I literally am so broke that I can’t even do that. I’m just hoping that during this interview they accept my digital resume.
I’m sure you all know this but there has been a significant increase in tik tok returns, which have now partnered with happy returns for the pack and shipping returns. We normally have an abundance of old Amazon bags to use for tik tok but with the increase in TT returns we don’t have any to spare, we could use our regular poly bags but then again those cost money, so I was wondering if anyone knew if these could be used for TT returns
Anyone have the hub/office number for Murray, KY? they keep attempting delivery on a package we had marked for RTS and its a fraud case. Retail support won't give me any contact and I dont trust them to get the package back
Anybody hate whenever you tell a customer the price on shipping and then they say “HOW MUCH??” Or “in dollars??” Like you heard me the first time🧍♂️
Fedex Freight spin-off to an independent firm is bad enough, Amazon logistics, now this.
The pressure this is going to put on UPS is gonna hurt franchisees. Now's the time to double down on our other profit centers, shipping is a rough market.
Planning to get to office tomorrow. Some items are heavy (9 TVs, 16 monitors, etc)
New store opening...is PostalMate or ShipRite better?
Had 7 FedEx return codes and labels show up since I’ve clocked in about 2 hours ago and 3 were in a row. I get the USPS confusion as annoying as it is. But 3 years at this place and for the life of me I cannot understand how something will tell you to go to FedEx and your brain tells you to go to the UPS Store.
A few stores in our network have been robbed. Idk how they fell for it but the con was a “undercover police detective” called the stores. Told the employee on shift late Friday night to close the store , send all employees home, they have been working a case and police marked bills have come through that specific ups store. That they are coming over to the store , need to look through all the money , collect the marked bills , and take them. The employee did as told , let them in , they took all the money in the place , AND 1 employee even gave his own bank info which they wiped over $2,500 from. These robbers got another store too on the same day!! 2 STORES SAME NIGHT. Told the employee we’ll bring the money back we’re taking it to police station to run all the bills. Employee waited till 11:30pm at the store , saw his banked drained then started to realize it was a robbery con. Went to the police station and found out what he should have known hours ago, that yes it was a robbery con
Idk how anyone can fall for this , even if the real cops called and asked to come check out money this I’d 1 refuse and 2 call my owner, let alone go along with it and invite them to come, but it can happen , as we’ve heard it’s happened many times before.
We’ve heard a other stores received same targeted phone calls
I know most won’t fall for it , but it seems they pray on the young , innocent and vulnerable teen staff.
So you guys can maybe warn your staff , as dumb as it may sound how to respond to this situation. Young workers who haven’t been in many situations like this , who aren’t familiar how the real legal process works, might fall for it as others have.
Hey fellow ups stores,
how does your pay work for notaries?
I only get a dollar extra on top of pay but we get SOOO many notaries at our location owner charges $15 dollars per signature
which in state of Nevada its $15 for the first signature and $7.50 additional , but owner does $15 first and $15 additional.
Anyways not sure about legalities of charging there, my point is $1 extra is not fair for what we deal with and so many walk in notaries.
We don't make commissions nor bonuses.
Is anybody else not able to open/submit a claim since the new login code step was implemented today? The website literally will not progress past the portion where you upload all the photos, documentation, and damage descriptions. I'm clicking Continue and the green bar loads all the way but then nothing happens. Am I surprised a new and unnecessary update broke an important system we need? Not at all
