Hey everyone,

I recently moved to Canada and I’m currently based in Ottawa. I have 7+ years of experience in Salesforce, mainly in administration, automation, and business analysis. Back in India, I worked on multiple projects involving case management, integrations, and stakeholder collaboration.

Since moving here, I’ve been actively applying for roles but finding it quite challenging to land opportunities in Ottawa. From what I’ve observed and heard, the market here seems relatively small, and many organizations appear to be using Microsoft Dynamics 365 instead of Salesforce.

I’m now considering whether it would be a good idea to transition or upskill into Dynamics 365 to improve my chances locally. At the same time, I’m also open to remote Salesforce roles if that’s a better path.

I’d really appreciate any advice on:

  • Salesforce job market in Ottawa / Canada
  • Whether transitioning to Dynamics 365 is worth it
  • Tips for breaking into the market here
  • Any networking or job search strategies that worked for you

Thanks in advance for your guidance
