WoW: 3400 M+ rating entirely on steamdeck

After my wife and I had a baby this year and my PC ended up in the hall closet (miss you) I thought my wow days were over. Picked up a steam deck just after midnight came out and wasn’t really intending to play wow on it tbh. I’ve been playing off and on since original TBC and the thought of converting to a handheld felt impossible and that the juice wouldn’t be worth the squeeze. Needless to say I’m happy I did and honestly combat (once the muscle memory kicks in) is incredibly satisfying. Next up 1% mount, and if I brick your keys I’m sorry I missed that kick.

Edit: post was removed from wow subreddit because of rules around “achievement posts” but wanted to share here because it’s genuinely impressive how well the steamdeck can manage WoW.

Edit: thanks for all the love! Cool to see how many of us SD gamers are hiding out there, there’s a lot of asks around a guide or advice on setup so I’ll put a quick video together sharing some of the things that have worked for me, just let me figure out a way to do that which doesn’t involve me filming my steam deck from my phone 😂.
