7 year old female. You guys have probably seen my posts about her. Does this ekg look fine? Still no answers. Waiting on an mri at the end of may. She consistently and randomly has chest pain and shortness of breath. Heart rate gets as high as 190s from her normal activity. Anytime it gets in 150s she starts complaining that it’s harder to breathe. All new symptoms
Results came back when the doctors were out of office and now I’m freaking out
Hi. This spot has always been tender but lately it’s been itchy. I looked at it tonight and it has changed significantly since March 12. Any insight on this? It is raised/thick and much bigger.
Link to full story below. Today my daughter got upto 190 heart rate. Is it normal for my daughter’s heart rate to get up to 190 just for playing with her sister?? Or 150s for walking in the grocery store. Accompanied by shortness of breath! I feel like this is all being downplayed and no one is worried enough I feel like I’m going crazy. She’s 7 and has been very healthy!!!

Hi all. My daughter for the longest time has always complained of chest pain when running and at first we took her serious and then the doctor said nothing was wrong. So we thought she was being lazy not wanting to run for warm ups at practice. She would say she’s getting out of breath and this is at a half jog. Flash forward to two weeks ago maybe 3 she got sick, was exposed to mono but we don’t know if she has that she was only running a fever for 24 hours and we managed her at home. But she has had a cough on and off since then. One day she won’t next day she will.
Flash forward again to Wednesday Wednesday this kid of mine was walking down stairs to practice hadn’t even practiced yet. She is 7 years old 55lbs and very healthy as far as we know. She was out of breath and complaining of chest pain. I checked her and it was only 120, but she was having dyspnea when talking. So I took her to her pediatrician
Also let’s rewind a bit she’s been complaining of chest pain but we had thought it was heart burn type, that’s been about two weeks. Anywho take her to her pediatrician Thursday. Friday she takes her last dose of Aderall at 7am. Sunday night at 7pm she’s watching YouTube in my room. Comes out in a PANIC. She says she can’t breathe, says her heart hurts. We check her and her heart rate is 160s. Take her to er. Her rapid troponin is 15 and fifteen is considered slightly abnormal. Hour later it’s 16, they did see abnormal ST. Transfer us to children. It’s late at this point. Later it gets she gets sleepy. Heart rate this whole time while at the hospital was 120-150, get to the children’s hospital she’s sleepy so it creeps down. Falls asleep and it stays under 100, troponin went down at that hospital but her heart rate also want elevated. Next morning they do an echo, it’s normal. Monday at this point. Monday morning she’s moving around after waking and goes to pee, heart rate 154
Echo comes back normal and they tell us they don’t know what’s wrong not concerned with heart rate or troponin. Did say they want to rule out myocarditis, sent us home with holter monitor and scheduled MRI for may 27th. Said stop all activities til then.
It’s now Tuesday, today she has chest pain while pooping and shortness of breath heart rate 150s
During the day heart rate has got as high as 179. Called cardio they said unless it gets 200-230 they aren’t worried. Meanwhile I am FREAKING OUT. my daughter is a wrestler. Very healthy. Very tiny skinny healthy girl. Very active. In shape. No caffeine no anything since Friday. Why is she having chest pain and high heart rates???! It’s it norm to wait that long for MRI?? I can’t rest with everything being so unknown.
