Designing a minimalist, 100% free classroom screen concept. How does this layout look for daily lessons?
I loved the idea of Classroomscreen, but needed something much better, customizable. So I made this.
Hey fellow teachers,
I’ve been managing my classroom screen a lot lately, and while tools like Classroomscreen are cool, I constantly felt limited by the paywalls, lack of customization, and clunky UI.
I wanted a vibe-coded, highly customizable alternative that just works—completely free, with no ads and no subscription nonsense. So I put together a digital board where everything lives on a single, clean screen.
Right now, it features:
Large clock & countdown timer (visible from the back)
Animated name picker
Radio with 50,000+ stations (lo-fi, classical, jazz for quiet work)
Simple calendar & notes
Scientific calculator & weather widget
Since it's fully customizable, I want to shape it around what we actually need in the classroom. What other widgets or features do you feel are missing from current tools that would make your daily workflow easier?
Tired of switching between timers and music tabs, so I put this together for my classes. What else should I add?
Hey fellow teachers,
I’ve been struggling lately with managing my classroom screen. During lessons, I always found myself constantly switching between browser tabs just to find a simple countdown timer, change some background music, or check the calendar. It was driving me crazy and wasting time.
To solve this for my own classes, I put together a simple, completely free digital board where everything lives on one screen. No ads, no sign-ups, no subscription nonsense – just the tools.
Right now, it features:
* Large clock & countdown timer (visible from the back)
* Animated name picker
* Radio (lo-fi/classical for quiet work)
* Simple calendar & notes
* Scientific calculator / Weather widget
I'm using it daily now, but I want to make it better for the community. What other widgets or tools do you actually use on a daily basis that would be useful to have in one place?
Note: I'm happy to share the link if anyone wants to use it for their own classroom, just let me know!)
