So I recently purchased a 2017 diesel car from spinny which is originally registered in Delhi. Spinny arranged for the re registration of car in Karnataka and the RC process. Since it was a diesel car, the validity of registration was 10 years(2027) In Delhi. Now it’s transferred to KA I was expecting the registration to be valid till 2032 (15 years). But to my surprise, in the new RC the registration is valid only till 2027. So the tax paid is close to 1.6 lakhs

Please help me with below

Is this a mistake at the RTO office?

Will I have to pay the tax again if I’m renewing the registration after 2027?
