I'm on Section 8, I have been for 12 years, I'm disabled and live alone. Beginning May 2026 my portion of rent is going up $201 more then last month and I'm scared. My apartment manager is saying my unit is worth hundreds more then the voucher allows causing me to pay the overage. My neighbors pay hundreds less and have larger units, so far, I'm the only one paying maximum market rate, do I need legal advice? I'm in California
