So. I got my baby hermans tortoise about 7/8 months ago.
I got him ( or her lol) from a oet shop. Didn’t specialise in reptiles specifically though. And they set up a vivarium for me. And the uvb and the “heat bulb” which was a ceramic heat emmiter. I have changed him to a table 120cm width and a proper basking bulb.
But during the process. This other shop that specialises in reptiles was telling me its dangerous to have the tortoise in a viv for to long and a tortoise table is best. Im just wondering what everyones opinions are because honestly i have seen no one with a tortoise in a viv so im confused why the shop i got him from even did this in the first place

So im fisrt time owner ive had her about a month now. Shes approximately 8months old. She not pooping everyday. Like she can go twice ot once a week. When she goes its very healthy and alot. Her belly is always squishy. Shes never had a black beard. Shes SO active. Im just wondering if this is normal. I feed her dubia roached. And solkworms. Im still waitingnin my delivery for my calci worms. I tried her with locusts she didnt want toknow at all.

Hi there, so im a new beardie owner, i have had her for about three weeks. Got everything set up. Did the research. Howver the pet shop was AWFUL and I feel a little lost especially with the salad and what she can and cant eat. And how to get her to warm up to me. I have a tortoise so this is like different teritory to me lol. Shes eating bugs and she eats salad i have read is safe. Does this sound silly
