No hate. Just my own personal opinion. Also wanted to know what others think of this.
As someone who’s followed this guy for a while.. I’ve legitimately only seen him post a couple of videos of him DJing doing the bare minimum. Doubles to others music. For him to be headlining for a first show ever is upsetting bc I know so many djs and PRODUCERS who deserve this type of opportunity. Never seen the guy do open decks or work his way up doing smaller shows.. never released any music or mixes.. it’s just crazy how the scene has become, prioritizing popularity over hard work. And for him to allow himself to play over someone who’s been doing it way longer with actual original tunes.. I feel as if it’s disrespectful and a slap to the face. IMO. He should allow JOKE to headline and he open up for him atleast. Not knowing where you stand, and wanting to do a headline show instead climbing the ladder like people should. It’s ridiculous. I get it, he has a lot of followers and wanted to do something big so bad for his first show ever.. but like cmon. Like I said, know where you stand and work your way up.
Me as a dj and beginner producer. I would never do something like this bc I need to earn my place. Making videos to underground Riddim shouldn’t cut it.
