Spent 2 months preparing for this 2hr vinyl set on a dub soundsystem. A journey through House!

Was super excited when I got this booking as the Krackfree soundsystem is one of those sound systems that made me rethink life :) figured it would be dope to bring a bag of house with dub influences to showcase the width & depth of the genre to an audience that might expect something completely different from this stage / DJs playing on the system that night.

Ron Trent, Bobby Konders, Alton Miller, Trinidadian deep, Rob Manga’s new ep (check it - it’s killer), Joe Claussell, Manoo, dj Said, Jephte Guillaume, Cee el Assad etc

Built a site for daily Tech House / Bass House discovery — sharing in case it's useful

Made grinloud.com — posts a new curated track pick every day plus a 10-track "Radar" mix roughly every 10 days, all hand-picked, focused on Tech House / Bass House / Progressive House.

Built it because I wanted a daily source of fresh stuff that wasn't just the Beatport top-100 repeating itself. Figured it might be useful for others looking for the same.

ID this 90’s House Song?

In 1993, I visited my buddy in NYC for New Years. He played this song that was insane. Perhaps it was too fast to be called House? Anyway, I remember the opening lyrics were like “Hey EZ(?) don’t you think that’s kinda fast? It’s not fast… it’s f—king fast!”

If not House, is there another genre I should look for it in? Maybe a hardcore style specific to NYC? Please and thank you!
