Has anyone used misoprostol prior to an iud insertion? I’m getting my Kyleena removed and replaced tomorrow and I’m very nervous about getting another inserted. I love my iud and the day to day ease of it, but I had a really rough experience my first time getting it placed. I spoke with my OBGYN and he prescribed me 100mg of Misoprostol to take intra-vaginally tonight and tomorrow before my appointment. I’m planning on going to work in the am before my appointment, but now that I’m reading up on it, I’m worried the misoprostol might cause cramps and make working hard?

Thoughts? Experiences on getting kyleena replaced while on misoprostol. He’s also giving me a cervix numbing shot, and I’m nervous for the actual shot, so any advice on that would be great too🤣

I currently teach in ACPS (Alexandria City Public Schools). I’ve taught in this district for about five years and feel very unsupported by central office and the district overall. I also struggle with my schools organization and communication style. However, I do enjoy my overall classroom, feel like I finally understand the curriculum and the benefits fit really well for my family. (Not happy about the increase in health insurance costs, but my spouse has MS and our insurance covers all of their needs). but I’m thinking about options. I have a potential opportunity for a similar teaching position in Arlington Public Schools. Does anyone have any insight to APS (Arlington)? How does it compare to ACPS? Looking for any and all tips and suggestions!
