My experience using a PNY RTX 3070 after 3 years..
Bought this GPU on November 17, 2022.
At that time, the RTX 30 series was almost out of stock in my region, but luckily I found a single RTX 3070 unit from PNY. The GPU performed very well for most of its lifetime. I never overclocked it and usually avoided maxed-out settings. The main games I played were Apex Legends, Valorant, CS, Marvel Rivals, and GTA V.
Everything was fine until April 14, 2026 — right after the warranty period ended.
The GPU suddenly started showing some issues during normal usage like-
Pc wont run on the first trigger.
and later on, it wont run at all (gave up on receiving power)-
After visiting the shop/service center, they mentioned something related to a power ic issue after a 30min checkup. I also informed them that my room has proper electrical wiring and good earthing, while they did not mention any issue from my side.
Now I honestly do not know whether:
-the GPU simply failed after normal wear, or
-my specific unit had a hidden issue from the beginning.
The technicians mentioned that it is a pretty serious case, which has made me quite concerned.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with PNY RTX 3070 cards or RTX 30 series GPUs in general?
