July 4th. Replaced neighbors gas meter without making contact with home owner and left with gas off. When she finally was able to get to the door and saw a note she texted me.
Luckily I was able to chase him down and he came back and turned it back on for her.

I know you get a “letter” but it is crazy they can’t even give you a the week of X we will be in your neighborhood. Or only do it Monday-Thursday and not on holidays so you are at worst only without gas for a day!

I asked why wasn’t my meter swapper and he said it not in the list today, but it will be swapper! So how long is this letter good for? A month? A year?

Thanks Center Point for coming to my property without notice and replacing my meter and leaving it off while I was at work on Friday.
Even better is that Center Point has 0 plan to work with people who work during the week to turn it back on! My closest appointment for them to turn back on is Monday from 8-5… shocker I work!

This wasn’t just me either! Multiple people on the neighborhood no gas now for the weekend. What’s even more stupid is that some folks got a notice on their door to schedule the replacement. Not everyone was afforded that courtesy!

And I must say… talking to offshore call center was the highlight of my day after coming home to this disaster of customer service.
