Every World Needs Saving

Things are rarely as they seem.

On the small western continent of Briee, centuries of cooperation transformed into cold distance. Elves, tucked away in their forest of giant eldertrees, sense a drawing of power and steel in their Human neighbors. Caught in the middle is a ragtag group of allies, loosely aligned on trust, and a risky plot to cut off war at the source: an alleged Dark Elf vizier with control over the Human kingdom.

But this, too, is more than it seems. As stones are overturned, secrets begin to crawl from dark places. In a short time, sacred relics, forgotten beasts, and the murky past become suddenly relevant. For Briee, its their first taste of the fall of the era of peace, long relished after the last great war of antiquity.

For Princess Thelessa Glilitia, the Elven future queen of Emlahil, what began as an assault on her people will become an adventure that will whisk her away from home, far around the world, to places she only imagined.

But don't let the Fantasy genre fool you. This is not an adventure like any other. While the setting and mechanics of the world will be fantasy, those details are merely part of the backdrop. Here, the fantasy elements have a reason, even if those things won't necessarily be defined early on in your journey. This is a series, a saga, about people-heroes and villains-that are not so clearly outlined, and whose personal journey is very much as important and defining as the legendary deeds they will perform.

Right now, begin the journey with The Trials of Andoria: Darkness Calling, the first installment. Four are ready to read today, with the next to release this July. The Trials of Antiquity, the series dedicated to the ancient past you will begin to see in question, debuts in just a hair over a month away!

Good day. I would like to present my offering to literature, fantasy, and adventure in the form of The Trials of Andoria. This saga, a set of series that began as mere notes over twenty years ago, is now fully underway.

Centered around a sheltered Elven Princess and a group of hodgepodge souls thrown together by circumstance, it begins as a risky attempt to stop war at its source. What is revealed, however, draws a greater picture of coming doom, far from the group's relatively peaceful shores.

Inspired by literature, tabletop gaming, and JRPG video games from yesteryear, Andoria presents the story from the perspective of people who not only face these harrowing challenges, but their own personal struggles as they transform into the heroes they will be known as.

Things are not all what they seem. While the world remains in constant disarray from a far-off war, power slowly and quietly grows. Thelessa Glilitia and her band of allies get swept up in the wake of a maniacal, powerful, ancient being whose desires no doubt hold deep peril for the world.

Join the party and unravel the mysteries of Andoria in real time with them. In June, the prequel series, The Trials of Antiquity, debuts with From the Deepest Depths, an origin story of the forgotten history of a world unaware it sits so close to ruin.

Pick up the first steps of the journey today at Amazon.

If you’re into slow burn fantasy with layered worldbuilding and a JRPG/tabletop kind of feel, I’ve been working on a series called The Trials of Andoria.

It follows a group of characters who start out trying to prevent a war, but end up uncovering pieces of a much older history, one that slowly reshapes everything they thought they understood about their world, and their place in it.

A big focus is on how history turns into legend over time, and how the truth gets lost in that process. There’s also a longer arc building in the background that becomes more apparent as the story progresses.

There’s a companion series starting in June (The Trials of Antiquity) that explores the ancient side of that history as well.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, the first entry is Darkness Calling.
