Chat models!
Okay, I know there have been a million posts about this issue, but I’m genuinely losing my mind here.
PLEASE bring back the old chat models. I cannot stand pipsqueak or pipsqueak 2. Both just sound like ChatGPT, and it completely removes the individuality of the bots. It’s like you’re not talking to the character anymore, which is kind of the whole point of the app.
Genuinely, if the old chat models don’t come back soon, I won’t be used character.ai anymore, and I know a lot of people agree with the sentiment.
The devs/owners have been making many poor choices over the last few months, but this is just the straw that’s breaking the camel’s back for me. I was able to barely tolerate all the other stuff, as annoying as it was, but I just can’t do this. The company is going to lose everything pretty soon if they don’t turn things around and listen to us, although I know they won’t. It’s like talking to a brick wall.
If anything, at least this is solving my addiction problem…
