Hi everyone,
I’m running into a really frustrating issue with my PC’s WiFi and could really use some help. I’ve tested multiple adapters, but the same thing keeps happening: whenever I open Steam or launch a game, my WiFi adapter just disappears—and the WiFi icon in the system tray vanishes along with it.
The strange part is, this only happens when I’m gaming or using Steam. For everything else, my connection works perfectly fine without any drops. My router is literally just about 10 feet away, so signal strength shouldn’t be the problem.
I’ve already tried a bunch of fixes I found on YouTube, but nothing has worked so far. At this point, I’m not sure if this is a hardware issue with my adapter or some kind of software/driver problem.
Unfortunately, using Ethernet isn’t really an option for me since the router is mounted high up on a wall in another room.
If anyone has experienced something similar or has even a small suggestion, I’d really appreciate your help. I’m honestly stuck right now.
