Hey, I don't really know anything about metalworking at all, but there's a video game I like to play called Counter Strike, and inside this game, there are guns and knives with a case-hardened finish. I think the finish looks really nice, so I wanted to try to replicate it with a butter knife from my kitchen drawer. All I did was heat it over the stove and then quench it in water, and it didn't come out very good; it's got these ugly splotches on it. If anyone knows how to get this finish looking cleaner and nicer, let me know, please and thanks!
