Best Buy App Approved My Opened Game Return… But Will the Store Actually Accept It?
So I’m confused about Best Buy’s return policy for opened games and wondering if anyone here has actually dealt with this before.
I always thought opened/unsealed games couldn’t be returned, which is what basically everyone online says too. But when I went into the Best Buy app to start a return, it actually asked me if the game had been opened. I answered honestly that it was opened, and the app still said I was eligible for a return and generated me a return barcode with store return options.
Now I’m wondering… does the app approving it actually mean the store will honor it? Or is there still a chance I go in and they refuse the return because the game is opened?
Has anyone successfully returned an opened game to Best Buy recently? Curious if the app approval overrides the normal “no opened games” policy or if the employees will just deny it anyway
