Hey gang, got an interesting couple notes for ya. Printed by the US Bureau of Engraving and Printing for the US Occupied Philippines, then stolen by the Japanese, then devalue by the Philippine Government. Full story below!

During WWII, Japanese Military Forces seized the Philippine National Bank and stole $hitloads of notes, then spent them and put them into circulation. They are identifiable by their serial numbers.

As per Government Record, all Philippine National Bank Circulating Note were legally issued initially. During the Japanese occupation of the Philippines, ₱ 5,400,000.00 of this note was captured by the Japanese Military Authorities and re-issued. After the war, all Japanese Military re-issued Philippine National Bank (PNB) Circulating Note were declared illegal by virtue of Republic Act No. 211. Eventually the government allowed it to be redeem by virtue of Republic Act No. 734.

At the beginning of the Japanese occupation, American Issued money is allowed for circulation, but later, Japanese authorities outlawed it, including guerilla currencies, those caught exchanging with it were taken to Fort Santiago and punished for committing a hostile act, thus this 5 Pesos Philippine National Bank (PNB) Circulating Note eventually ended up in Mindanao, being sold by Moros at a bargain of around 1 centavo to 10 centavos each.

I submitted 3 and they went 58EPQ, 30EPQ, 58. I don't want to gamble, but I bet the 58 would go EPQ if resubmitted. There aren't a lot of sold comps, so I am open to reasonable offers if you find comps.
