I don't read (literary) books. But I have always liked the idea of reading books. I want to read a book that can induce melancholy and a sense of peace within me. That can take me to a whole new world; involving a journey & self-discovery. It has to be a bit like the movie "wall-e", a bit like "into the wild", a bit like "detachment", a bit like "station agent", a bit horror, Apocalyptic, iykwim. Not just any book... 🤔🫠🫠

  • I want to read books that have good prose, much like george Orwell and other great writers 😭😭

It baffles me how people, especially the progressive creators I follow on Instagram, are fine with posts like this. It's quote-unquote funny! What if the this joke shifts to SAs?? "At least he was hot"?? When joke's on a person's looks, suddenly "it's not that serious". What about millions of people who are struggling with self-image and come across videos like this??? The underlying idea here is that it's okay to be look-ist against bad people. But again, where do we draw line, and who decides that? Is it okay to be homophobic, racist, or misogynist for that matter against bad people?? Why not?? Well probably because racism, homophobia, misogyny kills people in real life. My response is, why do you have to wait for people to be killed to stop practicing lookism? Why is their emotional suffering not enough to stop it?
