New user - Unable to communicate with Sync Module
I just got a Blink system: 3 Blink 4 cameras and 1 Sync Module (the small white one). I can't set up my system and wonder if anyone has experience/advice.
I installed the app and created an account. My Sync Module has a steady green and flashing blue light. When I try to add it in the app, it finds the device "Blink-ABCD", but when I try to connect I get "Unable to communicate with Sync module. If your device is having trouble connecting please follow the directions on our help page".
I've tried every suggestion: unplugged and plugged the Sync Module, both with and without holding in the reset button. I've turned off cell signal on my phone, connected to my 2.4G wireless instead of the normal 5G wireless. I've restarted my phone, turned off its anti-virus, granted the app "location" and "nearby devices" permissions, rebooted my cable modem, rebooted my router, uninstalled and reinstalled the app... nothing works.
It's getting so frustrating and I've spent hours on this already. Any suggestions? I'm about to just return the whole thing. It shouldn't be this hard.
