Doesn't have to be romantic, but thst weird ambiguity would be deeply appreciated

I want a book about life in Vegas, may be a bit gritty, may be a bit noir. Think the first part of The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt or Double Blind by Heidi Cullinan (or even Showgirls (1995)???).

It can have hiesty or gambling-y element but I don't want it to much to be the main focus, if that makes sense? I want it to be more about the people and lives of the in group vs outgroup.

Went to Lochwinnoch over the long weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the bluebell field they have there. Any other location near Glasgow where there's a field of flowers blooming or expected to bloom?
